To create a post on a WordPress site all you have to do is follow the direction below. 

1. Log in to the site. 

2. Go to Posts -> Add New

3. Here, you will create your post! The following are basic elements you can fill out to create your post:
1. Title
-The permalink will be automatically generated from the title.
2. Body/Post Content
-If editing this element in the "Visual" tab then you have the basic word processor toolbar you can use when creating your post content. 
3. Categories 
-These can be utilized to organize your posts into different categories for organizational purposes and ease of use for your viewers. 
4. Featured Image
-This establishes a main image for your post and is often what is shown as a preview for your post.
5. Publish Status
-Here you will publish your post, set your post to "Pending Review" for someone else to view and publish, or you can schedule your post to be published at a later date. 
*Please note that depending on how you want your posts to be set up and displayed will depend on whether you utilize categories and the featured image. The most important thing is to be consistent with your posts and fill out the same elements on each post.
